Heritage Open Day

Along with many other historic buildings, we opened the church yesterday for the Heritage Open Day. Visitors were treated to an overview of the development of the building and the opportunity to wander around the building self guided or have details of each of our key artifacts from knowledgeable Heritage Ambassadors stationed around the church. It was a great opportunity for visitors to see our new conserved Royal Coat of Arms, stained glass windows, wall paintings and Elizabethan monuments and tombs. We had around 120 visitors many of whom stayed to hear our brilliant concert of 1000 years of music played by Mark Goodhew on our fabulous church organ. As usual our wonder home made cakes were very popular!
