Weddings

Weddings at Sandon Church are very special. The beautiful setting and the lovely interior have led many couples to take their wedding vows in this ancient church.

To make things easier for our couples, we have a central system for all wedding administration, making it simple to check availability and complete your application form, with guidance on all the legal requirements. Our clergy team and wedding coordinator will be a great support to you in the run-up to your wedding.

Your appointed clergy member will meet with you well in advance to go through the arrangements and to arrange a rehearsal for you before the big day. On your wedding day we will conduct a beautiful and memorable ceremony for you and your guests.

Bell Ringing

The bells are rung for Sunday Services, weddings, festivals such as Easter, funerals when requested, and significant other events such as Remembrance days, and the death and coronation of a monarch.

Baptism

We would love to be part of this holy and special time with you and those you love.

It is usual to have lots of questions about both the meaning of baptism, and what is involved in the service.

We are here to answer those questions and support you in any way we can.

To make an initial enquiry please contact Rev. Vivienne Starkie.

Funerals

A funeral marks the end of a person's life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God's keeping.

The message at all Church of England funerals, wherever they happen, is one of hope. Although there is sadness because someone you know and love has died, in every funeral there is also hope in life after death.

Funerals are booked centrally for the Mid Trent Team by Janet Stubbs. Please contact us to allow us to support you with the arrangements.
